The root folder for SharePoint 2010 located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14 but how can you add that as a short cut to your computer taskbar?
1. Right click on Tool Bar | Toolbars | New Toolbar
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14 and select Folder
3. Now you can see the SharePoint 2010 14 hive folder in the Toolbar
